ANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

The Master of the Ceremony (MOC) of 9th CYP meet YP Adarsh Nahata took the dais at 7.15 A.M. and commenced the meet by inviting YP Rahul Chaudhary and YP Ashok Mahawar to speak on the topic Financial Statement Analysis.
YP Rahul Chaudhary introduced the topic to the mentors and fellow YP’s. He also gave a brief outline on the scope and objective of Financial Statements. YP Ashok Mahawar took up the Tools for analyzing the financial statements. Their content was full of examples which made it easier for fellow YP’s to understand the topic. Our mentor CA Vikash Baid was continuously giving valid inputs with insider’s view of how to improve our understanding of Financial Statement. He gave the example of commodity sector and explained in details how the prices of commodities are affecting the Financial Statements of enterprises. CA Vikash Jain our mentor threw light on the practical difficulties that an auditor faces while conducting an audit of an enterprise. He complimented the speakers for their well-researched discussion. He encouraged more YP’s to come forward and speak on the forum. The mentors took leave and the session continued. The last leg of the technical session was an interactive session, which was appreciated by all YP’s.
The next session was extempore where participants were given one minute to prepare on a topic and they had to speak on the topic for 3 minutes. The details of extempore are:

The last session was Quiz, which was conducted by YP Mohit Jain and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
The MOC YP Adarsh Nahata reminded everybody to be punctual from next time and concluded the meeting.
